Bykato Sideboard app for iPhone and iPad

The Bykato Sideboard Configurator app makes it easy and fun to create your perfect storage solution. To get started, choose a pre-built sideboard solution or create your sideboard from scratch on the ”Create your own sideboard” page.

Once your basic design is in place, customise it by positioning shelves and trays where you like and experimenting with doors in different colours, and trays in different solid wood varieties. Reverse the doors with a tap to see how your sideboard would look with black doors. Tap any tray in the sideboard, to reverse the handle.

When you’ve finished, you can email your design to the nearest Brødrene Andersen dealer for purchasing, or send it to family and friends to show off your designing skills.


The Story

The sideboard is designed so you can purchase drawers and doors separately and build the unit to suit your own needs and wishes. The drawers come in a range of wood varieties, and the doors are reversible, with one side in the colour of your choice and the other always black. As an added benefit, the drawers can double up as serving trays with high sides that make them perfect for serving breakfast in bed or light meals in the comfort of an armchair.

The Bykato Sideboard features visible dowelling and other elegant details that reveal the craftsmanship that has gone into its production. These details will make your sideboard a pleasure to behold, day after day. The sideboards are built without hinges, handles, metal rails or bearings The doors slide effortlessly in the grooves that hold them in place, and the same applies to the drawers, which run on the shelf that supports them. In creating the Bykato Sideboard, the designers relied entirely on the uncomplicated, back-to-basics, high quality craftsmanship used by cabinetmakers in days gone by.
